Daniel Barile

Daniel Barile is a Vice President and Investment Analyst at SkyBridge. He is responsible for hedge fund manager sourcing, research and due diligence. In the past, Mr. Barile also served as a dedicated Operational Due Diligence Analyst. Prior to joining Skybridge, Mr. Barile was a Vice President with similar responsibilities in the Hedge Fund Management Group at Citi Alternative Investments. Prior to joining Citi, Mr. Barile was an Associate Director and Credit Analyst covering broker/dealers and asset managers at Fitch Ratings and was an Analyst in the corporate strategy group at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (now BlackRock).

Mr. Barile received a B.S. in Management with a concentration in Finance from Binghamton University and is a CFA charterholder.

 

Shira Boehler

Shira Boehler is a Vice President and Investment Analyst covering Directional Equity and Event Driven strategies at SkyBridge. Her responsibilities include new manager sourcing, investment research as well as manager monitoring and due diligence. Prior to joining SkyBridge, she spent time in an investment role in the Hedge Fund Management Group, a division of Citigroup Alternative Investments (CAI). Mrs. Boehler also held a position with Boxcar Capital, a commodity focused hedge fund. Prior to her career in finance, Mrs. Boehler was a manager at MedeFinance, a leading provider of healthcare analytics. In addition, she was a financial consultant at Triage Consulting Group, working with hospitals across the country.

Mrs. Boehler received an M.B.A. in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business and a Bachelor in Molecular and Cell Biology from University of California at Berkeley.

Elizabeth Fitzpatrick

Elizabeth Fitzpatrick is a Vice President for HF Business and Operational Due Diligence at SkyBridge. Previously, Ms. Fitzpatrick was a product specialist in the Investor Relations group, responsible for liasing with the investment team and global platform team. Prior to joining the firm in July 2010, she served as a Vice President of Marketing and Client Service in the Hedge Fund Management Group at Citigroup Alternative Investments (CAI). Ms. Bellino held various roles in CAI, including product development, product management, and operations for the fund of hedge funds and single manager hedge fund platform.

Ms. Bellino received a B.S. in Management with a minor in Finance from Providence College.

Robert Duggan

Robert Duggan is a Portfolio Manager and Senior Analyst covering Directional Equity and Directional Macro strategies at SkyBridge, where he is responsible for portfolio management, manager sourcing, and due diligence.  Prior to this, Mr. Duggan performed the same function in the Hedge Fund Management Group at Citigroup Alternative Investments (CAI). Before joining CAI, he was a senior analyst at International Asset Management (IAM), where he was responsible for sourcing and monitoring the firm’s US based hedge fund investments across a broad range of investment strategies.  Prior to IAM, Mr. Duggan held research analyst roles at Northern Trust Global Advisors and Alpha Investment Management.  

Mr. Duggan received a B.A. in Economics from Fordham University and is a CFA charterholder.

Troy Gayeski

Troy Gayeski is a Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager at SkyBridge. He is also the head of Event Driven and Relative Value Arbitrage Strategies. Mr. Gayeski’s responsibilities include Portfolio Management, Manager Sourcing, Research, and Due Diligence across a wide variety of strategies. Prior to this, Mr. Gayeski performed similar Fund of Hedge Fund and Portfolio Management duties in the Hedge Fund Management Group at Citigroup Alternative Investments (CAI), Bank of America, Optima Fund Management, and Yankee Advisers.

Mr. Gayeski received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from MIT and is a CFA charterholder.

Michael Gubenko

Michael Gubenko is a Managing Director at SkyBridge. Since joining SkyBridge in 2009, Mr. Gubenko has been involved in portfolio management and hedge fund manager evaluation, selection and monitoring. He serves as a Portfolio Manager for SkyBridge's seeding businesses. Prior to joining SkyBridge, he was a Vice President at Thomas H. Lee Capital where he was responsible for the evaluation of hedge fund investments for the fund of hedge funds portfolios. Previously, Mr. Gubenko was a Vice President at Lehman Brothers Alternative Investment Management, where he worked on hedge fund manager research across a variety of investment strategies. He commenced his career at Lehman Brothers as an Investment Banking analyst, where he advised clients on M&A, restructuring, and underwriting transactions as part of the Global Power Group.

Mr. Gubenko earned a B.B.A. with concentrations in Finance and Accounting from Emory University and is a CFA charterholder.

Abhi Kane

Abhi Kane joined SkyBridge in July 2010 as Vice President and member of the Investment Team. Mr. Kane serves as an Investment Analyst and his responsibilities include Manager Sourcing, Investment Research, and Due Diligence for Relative Value and Long Short strategies. Prior to this, Mr. Kane performed similar functions for the Hedge Fund Management Group at Citigroup Alternative Investments (CAI). Prior to joining CAI in 2003, Mr. Kane ran a software consulting company specializing in building complex analytical, trading, and portfolio management systems for American International Group, Bank One, Government Securities Clearing Corporation and Citigroup Asset Management.

Mr. Kane received an M.B.A. in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business in 2001 and B.E. in Computer Engineering (with Distinction) from PICT, Pune in 1993. He is also a CAIA charterholder.

Jean Kang

Jean Kang is a Vice President and Investment Analyst covering Directional Macro strategies funds at SkyBridge. Ms. Kang’s responsibilities include manager research and due diligence. Prior to joining SkyBridge, she was an analyst covering global macro strategies for the Hedge Fund Management Group at Citigroup Alternative Investments (CAI).  Additionally, Ms. Kang had also served as an Analyst for Directional Equity strategies and the Operational Due Diligence team for CAI.

Ms. Kang received a B.A. in Political Science from Wellesley College, where she graduated with honors.

Virginie Kolesnikov

Virginie Kolesnikov is a Director and Senior HF Business & Operational Due Diligence Analyst at SkyBridge. Prior to joining SkyBridge in July 2010, she was a Senior Operational Due Diligence Analyst in the Hedge Fund Management Group at Citigroup Alternative Investments (CAI), the Fund’s previous investment adviser until July 2010. Prior to joining CAI in 2002, she was a Vice President in Salomon Smith Barney’s Hedge Fund Counterparty Risk unit. Between 2006 and 2008, she worked in the Hedge Fund Development and Management Group at Merrill Lynch as a Senior Operational Due Diligence Analyst; she re-joined CAI in May 2008. Mrs. Kolesnikov has 15 years of Hedge Fund Risk Management experience, with the last nine years focused exclusively on hedge fund operational due diligence.

Mrs. Kolesnikov received an M.B.A. and a B.S.B.A. from the University of Hartford.

Steve Lee

Steve Lee is a Vice President and a Portfolio and Investment Risk Analyst at SkyBridge. Prior to joining SkyBridge in July 2010, he was the Analyst covering Investment and Portfolio Risk for the HF Management Group at Citigroup Alternative Investments (CAI) where he was responsible for the implementation and development of risk measurement and analytical processes for its Fund of Hedge Funds and seeded Hedge Fund products.  Mr. Lee provided performance analytics and reporting, while monitoring fund level risk of underlying managers.  Before joining CAI in 2007, he worked as a Data Analyst for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority of New York.

Mr. Lee received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Kenneth McDonald

Kenneth McDonald is Managing Director and Head of HF Business & Operational Due Diligence for SkyBridge.  Prior to joining SkyBridge in July 2010, he was Managing Director and Head of Hedge Fund Business & Operational Due Diligence at Citigroup Alternative Investments LLC (CAI).  He joined CAI in 2002 as Director and Head of Hedge Fund Business & Operational Due Diligence after transferring internally from Citigroup’s Hedge Fund Counterparty Risk Management Group, where he was Senior Vice President & Manager of the group of Credit Risk Officers responsible for the firm’s (i.e. Citigroup and predecessor firm Salomon Smith Barney) global counterparty risk exposures to over 300 hedge fund trading relationships.  Mr. McDonald joined Citigroup’s HF Counterparty Risk Management Group in 1994.

Mr. McDonald holds an M.B.A. from Boston University and B.S. from Villanova University.

Eric Pai

Eric Pai is the Portfolio Manager for seeding strategies and Managing Director for new product development at SkyBridge.  Previously, he created a $500 million seeding vehicle for the Hedge Fund Management Group of Citigroup Alternative Investments (CAI), where he co-managed the fund.  Mr. Pai worked at Bankers Trust Company, and its acquirer Deutsche Bank, from 1987-2005, where he was a founding member of the Absolute Return Strategies Group and in charge of the $4 billion single manager business, as well as head of structured investment products.

Mr. Pai received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1987 and earned a B.S.E. in Engineering Systems from Princeton University (Phi Beta Kappa, Summa Cum Laude) in 1983.

Sejal Patel

Sejal Patel is a Vice President and Investment Analyst covering Directional Equity strategies at SkyBridge. Prior to joining SkyBridge, she was a member of the investment team with the Hedge Fund Management Group at Citigroup Alternative Investments (CAI) where she was responsible for sourcing potential investments and monitoring current investments within the fund of fund and custom portfolios. Prior to this role, she was a risk analyst within the group where she was responsible for monitoring the fund level risk of underlying advisors as well as performance analysis and reporting. 

Mrs. Patel earned a B.S. in Finance from Rutgers Business School.

Tatiana Segal

Tatiana Segal is a Managing Director and the Head of Risk Management. Prior to joining SkyBridge, she was a Managing Director and Chief Risk Officer at Cerberus Capital Management, LLC. Before joining Cerberus, she held a Chief Risk Officer position with Diamond Lake Investment Group and previously worked at Citigroup Alternative Investments, where she was responsible for an independent risk oversight of a multi-billion hedge funds and fund of funds portfolio. Tatiana has over 18 years of experience with both buy-side and sell-side firms. She commenced her career at BlackRock Financial management after graduating from Columbia University with a B.A. in Economics.

Marc Sprung

Marc Sprung joined SkyBridge in July 2010 as a Director and member of the New Product Development team.  Prior to this, Mr. Sprung served as the Product Manager for Citigroup Alternative Investment’s (CAI) Hedge Fund Partners product since May 2007.  Before that, he worked at Bankers Trust Company and its successor Deutsche Bank from 1995-2007, where he worked for their $4 billion Single Manager Fund business.

Mr. Sprung received an M.B.A. from the Lubin School of Business at Pace University in 1995, and a B.A. in English from Brooklyn College (Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude) in 1992.

Peter Stern

Peter Stern is a Senior Vice President and a member of the investment team at SkyBridge. Prior to joining SkyBridge in 2009, Mr. Stern was most recently an Associate at GoldenTree Asset Management and a member of the firm’s marketing and investor relations team.  Previously, Mr. Stern worked on the Investment Grade Credit Sales desk at Goldman Sachs, where he was responsible for providing corporate bond, preferred stock and credit derivative product coverage to top-tier money managers, pension funds, insurance companies and hedge funds.  Mr. Stern began his career in the Fixed Income Division of Lehman Brothers, where he focused on developing and managing strategic institutional client relationships.

Mr. Stern earned an M.B.A. with honors from Columbia Business School and an A.B. from Dartmouth College.
